The Brand

What is Kayou?

Kayou is China's largest trading-card maker — founded in 2011 and at its peak holding roughly 70% of China's collectible-card market, and licensed for more than 70 IPs, with Naruto leading its English-language international lineup. Its reputation is built on one thing: making cards that feel premium to pull. Heavy foiling, textured finishes, lenticular 3D cards, ink-brush art treatments, and rarity ladders that go far deeper than a typical TCG.

Unlike Pokemon or One Piece TCG, Kayou's Naruto cards aren't built around a competitive game — they're pure collector product. Every pack is about the chase: the art, the finish, and the rarity printed in the corner. That focus is exactly why rip-and-reveal content has made Kayou explode across TikTok and YouTube.

Kayou announced its North American entry in September 2025 and debuted its English-language "NARUTO Smriti Collectible Cards" line at New York Comic Con that October — then sold through its first holiday season. The English editions are what we carry: same premium print pedigree, English card text, and US-exclusive designs. You can learn more about the company on Kayou's official site.

The Lines We Carry

Earth Scroll vs. Chapter Jin — where to start

Kayou's English Naruto range runs on tiers, and the two we stock bracket the ladder: Earth Scroll is the entry point, Chapter Jin is the flagship. Same licensed art pedigree — very different pull experience.

Gold Edition · Entry

Earth Scroll — Series 2

The easiest way into Kayou. Every single pack guarantees a Super Rare or better, and the box carries the "Pop Art" ◇UR chase — including a US-exclusive card.

The Education

How the Kayou rarity ladder works

Every Kayou card wears its rarity code in the corner, and Kayou's official set pages name each tier — though collectors mostly go by the codes, and the fan names floating around often don't match the official ones. The ladder below covers the English sets we carry — roughly in ascending order, from base cards to the serialized grails — using Kayou's official names. The community's rule of thumb: "UR and above" is a hit.

RRareThe base of the set — clean character art, the cards you'll trade and stack.
SRSuper RareFoil treatment begins. Guaranteed one or better in every Earth Scroll pack.
SSRSSRHeavier foil, bolder framing — a solid mid-ladder pull, but not yet "hit" territory. (Kayou's own pages render the full name two different ways, so collectors just say SSR.)
URUltra RareWhere the hits start. Premium finish with standout full-art treatments.
◇URParallel Ultra RareThe special-print showcase — Earth Scroll's "Pop Art" and Jin's "Graffiti Sketches" subsets live here, including the US-exclusive cards.
ARAmber RareThe art-treatment tier — ukiyo-e brushwork and tarot-frame subsets; Jin's AR runs serialized to /777.
MRMiracle RareA top-of-box chase — just four designs in all of Earth Scroll Series 2.
CRCreative RareThe headline rainbow-tier grail of Earth Scroll's ladder — four designs, top of the box.
SE+Serialized tiersThe flagship-line grails — SE, ASP (Amber Special), ◇ASP (Parallel Amber Special) and BP (Brush Rare) — individually numbered cards where the print run is stamped on the card itself.

One more decoder: the label on the box

Kayou prints a tier label on every product's packaging — these describe the product, not the card rarities inside. Per Kayou's own guide:

Silver · Gold · Pink DiamondEntry-level sets for casual fans or first-time collectors — our Earth Scroll box is Gold.
PlatinumA balanced set that's collectible and fun to chase, with special chase cards — our Chapter Jin box is Platinum.
TitaniumPremium sets for serious collectors — autographs, special parallels, serialized editions.
PearlBundles that pack multiple products into one package — built for bigger hauls and gifting.

Chapter Jin's serialized chase board

This is what separates Kayou's flagship line from almost everything else in the hobby: cards numbered to the exact copy. Pull one and you know precisely how many exist on Earth.

Questions

Kayou FAQ

Are Kayou cards official, licensed products?
Yes. Kayou produces its Naruto cards under official license, and the boxes we carry are the English-language North American editions. Every box we sell is authentic and factory sealed — we don't touch gray-market or resealed product.
What's the difference between Earth Scroll and Chapter Jin?
Earth Scroll (Gold edition) is the entry line: 20 packs a box, 7 cards a pack, and a guaranteed SR-or-better in every pack. Chapter Jin (Platinum edition) is the flagship: fewer packs (12), but a much deeper 13-tier ladder with individually serialized chases down to /9. Start with Earth Scroll for volume and guaranteed hits; go Jin when you're hunting grails.
What am I guaranteed to pull in a box?
In Earth Scroll Series 2, every one of the 20 packs guarantees a Super Rare (SR) or higher — so a display box floors at 20 SR+ cards. Chapter Jin doesn't publish the same per-pack floor; its draw is that every box is a genuine shot at the serialized chase cards (◇ASP /9, ASP /99, SE /220 and the rest of the special-print board).
Are these the same as the Chinese Kayou cards I see on TikTok?
Same maker, same premium print quality — different edition. Most rip videos online feature Kayou's original Chinese-language releases. The boxes we stock are the official English North American editions, with English card text and US-exclusive designs you won't find in the Chinese sets.
Can Kayou cards be graded?
Yes. PSA, CGC and TAG all grade Kayou Naruto cards (TAG covers the English versions) — PSA has even run an official Kayou partnership, and CGC publishes a dedicated Kayou Naruto population report. Beckett has graded them too, though its acceptance has been inconsistent. Community wisdom: grade serialized chases and in-demand hits, not commons — and know that Kayou's factory centering varies, and centering is the #1 grade-capper at every service.
What do the Gold and Platinum labels on the boxes mean?
They're Kayou's official product price tiers, printed on the packaging — they describe the product, not the cards inside. Silver/Gold/Pink Diamond mark entry-level sets, Platinum marks balanced sets with chase cards, Titanium marks premium serialized sets, and Pearl marks multi-product bundles. Our Earth Scroll box is Gold; our Chapter Jin box is Platinum.
Do you ship Kayou across Canada?
Yes — every order ships from our Markham, Ontario warehouse with collector-grade protective packing, anywhere in Canada. International shipping options are available at checkout. See our shipping & delivery policy for details.
Are Kayou boxes final sale?
Yes. Like all sealed trading-card products, Kayou display boxes are final sale once shipped — this protects every buyer by guaranteeing that nothing we sell has ever been opened, searched, or resealed.
